Well, hello there. Welcome to Brand Therapy. I'm Phil.
Lauren:
And I'm Lauren. I am so excited. We've been waiting for this episode forever gone.
Phil:
You sound excited. I'm also excited. It's finally here. Now, some of our regular listeners will know that this episode already doesn't sound like the others. That's true. It doesn't. It's named and titled like the others, but it's not nearly as long. It's not formatted the same way. This is more of an announcement episode than it is one of the previous episode formats. Why Lauren Moore? I'll let you do the honors.
Lauren:
We are changing things because we're two brand strategists who are sick.
Phil:
Sick and tired.
Lauren:
Sick and tired of the current format.
Phil:
If we're being honest, which we always are, yeah, let's elaborate on that. Because we don't like, Don't worry, you know, if you like our podcasts, then things are only gonna get better. But let me, well, let us just kind of explain where we're at. I mean, almost 70 episodes of people asking us questions, and you wouldn't believe how repetitive some of those questions can get.
Lauren:
No, it's true. Even a lot of episodes that we did, we had to throw out because they were too similar in questions. It was too similar. We actually couldn't use them because we felt like it would be a disservice to listeners and i think i think it was you were used to We should change the format, right?
Phil:
Mm hmm. Well, because we started this going, let's not sound like every other podcasts and just do a traditional interview. Yeah. Which by the way, it's still not going to be that. But we wanted to start doing something different, which, you know, theming and a whole episode around a single question from a stranger, that's pretty unique. But in our industry, even if the question is different from another, we end up talking about some of the same things. And we've listened to feedback from listeners as well that have said, actually, you know what, it's true. I love your podcast, I love listening to you guys, but the content does repeat. And so this is us just making some exciting evolutions. You know, do you really need to listen to me talk about position build, promote one more time? Do you really need that? If you do then go back and listen to the series. You have 68,69 episodes to choose from.
Lauren:
Do you need me to put together another brand sentence for someone. That's like, always the same, you know?
Phil:
Yeah, but people actually do like that though, because it's different every time. So you're still gonna be doing that they are not off the hook. I mean, I kind of think of the new format as like our own little radio show, which I mean, sounds kind of weird, but like we're finally in control of what this little 25 to 30 minute episode will entail. I think we both like we want control a little more control over the narrative, to make sure that it is fun. That is enjoyable to listen to. But it's also educational, right? You're learning new things. In fact, you're learning things that we don't even know yet. And that's part of the fun.
Lauren:
That's what I'm most excited about. Because up until we started introducing experts onto Brand Therapy, it was like positioned as if we knew all the answers and we don't we don't, we don't know all the answers. We love what we do, but we want to switch this format so that every single week you and I, I'm telling you this as if you don't already know this, but every single week moving forward, you and I are trying to answer a question, or trying to learn, dive deep into a topic that we want to learn more about from an expert. So it's really great because, we're gonna be learning along with our listeners, which is so exciting.
Phil:
We're putting a lot more work in each episode, not that it was not a lot of work before, but we're really producing this, we're really taking control over the topics. We we tackle, there will be episodes, obviously we do together, there will be episodes also where each of us one of us, you know, you hear a little bit more of us than the other, which is kind of fun because you and I do different things on the projects we work on. So there's just like a little bit more editorial control that we're giving ourselves and we're really excited for you to come along for the journey.
Lauren:
Totally. So I have a call to action for our listeners if they're still listening right now. I hope they are another not like less repeating old episodes. I hope they're excited about the new format. So my sort of challenge or call to action for all you listeners is that if There's a topic that you want to learn more about or big question you have about your business and it could be like, how do I post effectively on social media without losing my entire day? Or how do I get better at speaking of video? How do I speak without stammering like Lauren, whatever it is a message Phil or me, Instagram is usually best, message us and let us know because we now have the control to be able to incorporate that into our episode plan, which is so exciting.

Absolutely. Those questions are what we feed off, for podcast ideas. I'm also making YouTube videos every single week answering specific questions that people ask me on social media. Often this prompts what we write blogs about, you know what we post on social media content wise. So send in those questions. Really, take five seconds and just send it over to us.
