Phil

Well, hello there listener Welcome to Brand Therapy. I'm Phil.

Lauren

And I'm Lauren.

Phil

And this is the podcast that we help you position build and promote your brand. And I promise this was not a clickbait title. I promise. This title is not clickbait. It also is not reason to worry or stress. We'll elaborate on that in a second. The very first thing I want to do Lauren, I think we should do this to kick off this episode, we have a voicemail, can we play the voicemail?

Lauren

Yeah, let's play it. Let's play the voicemail.

Guadalupe.

The first time I came across Phil was through Adobe, and the link to his Instagram, which then took me to his YouTube, which then secondly, to his podcast, one of the three key items that I'm taking away are the following. Number one was permission to make your brand personal, which is something really hard. After you've worked the nine to five, you've kind of you know, made yourself fit into somebody else's brand and idea and how to put your own personal touch to the side. And then number two, marketing can be very overwhelming because you think you have to spend a lot of money right away. So I like the fact that they give us different tools at every level. So when I am ready to spend that money, I am going to feel confident that I've done my research I've done my homework and I know who I want to be and what I want to share

Phil

Yes, five star five star five star. Thank you, Guadalupe. Thank you for that kind note. It just felt like it was fitting to start off this episode with some positivity. We love this podcast we love coming to weekly, but we have decided that we just need a little summer vacation. And so we are just putting things on hold for a few months. Don't stress we will be back. We just need a little break.

Lauren

Yeah, it's hard to believe that this is episode 175. We've been doing this a long time. These show ponies are a little tired.

Phil

We're a little tired. I think Louise, in our episode with her, Louise summarize this perfectly. You probably listened or if you listen to the episode with Louise, you probably got this sense that oh my god, they're dealing with a lot we are. But we just I mean, almost 200 episodes not quite but close. Louise said, you guys need a purposeful pause for powerful planning. And that's really what this is. This is a purposeful pause for powerful planning. That's what this is.

Lauren

Yeah. And you know, we've been going through the motions for so long that are, at least for me, my fear was that it would become more like bland therapy. We want to come back. We want to be reinvigorated. I don't think that too much is going to change in terms of the content that we're delivering you. We're definitely going to be recording, this isn't a stop. But we just want to make sure that this podcast is being everything it can be and that we're maximizing the platform, the amazing guests that we're speaking with promoting it properly. And right now we've been kind of drowning in work, which is such a good problem to have. But we want to be more intentional.

Phil

We'll want to be more intentional. We want to do our best. When are we coming back?

Lauren

I don't have a specific date yet.

Phil

I'm thinking of it as September. That gives us enough of a break to get excited about this again, and to come back even stronger water, some new flavors and elements that we're going to bring when we come back. Really awesome guests. I'm gonna do a better job of promoting these episodes that our guests are so kind and wonderful spend the time they do I want to be properly promoting this across all of our channels.

Lauren

I'm going to be writing more blog posts based on the episodes

Phil

Absolutely, freebies, I'm probably again going to try and convince you to add a video component to this as in when it makes sense which you hate. That's okay. Yeah.

Lauren

What's another day without me being on camera?

Phil

It's just gonna be better. It's just gonna be better. And this feels like a good time to say listener, our comments and suggestions and feedback box is open for business. Please reach out to us. If there's something that you want to hear someone that you want us to interview or chat with or a topic that you want us to tackle. It feels like 175 episodes that we've talked about everything. I don't think we've talked about everything, but it feels that way. So we are so spongy and open and ready and willing to tackle topics that you want to hear us talk about.

Lauren

Yes. And I also want, I genuinely want feedback on when you are starting to listen to an episode and maybe you stop. Why are you stopping? Like what's distracting you What's making you press skip? And also when there's an episode you really, really love. What is it about it that you love? Like, do you want more water cooler talk between Phil and me? Like do you want juicy?

Phil

Do you want guests that you heard something that you think a lot about still to this day after listening to epsa? Have you gone back and listened to an episode for a second time? Yeah, it's interesting for us to share these

Lauren

Did you like the music?

Phil

I like the music.

Lauren

No, I know. Maybe it will change but I don't think so. I think we need to keep an eye on it. The music.

Phil

Yeah, I think we need to keep the music. Maybe we update the podcast artwork, that could be something fun. Yeah,

Lauren

We're getting photos taken, photos taken.

Phil

We just need a few months of catch up. We need a few months of reconfiguration reorganization to make sure that we're maximizing our efforts and our time. Remember, we're just well, you know, we're coming back. It's just a little break. We're not disappearing forever. That's not a possibility for us. The podcast is really important within our content workflow. So by us doing a podcast episode, tackling a topic, Lauren writes blog posts, I write YouTube scripts. This has a lot of purpose with our content workflow. We've talked about that before. So don't worry, it's not going to disappear. We just need a little breather.

Lauren

Yeah. So I wish you a wonderful, relaxing summer to anyone who's listening to this.

Phil

In the meantime, if you're curious and hungry for content that we're creating Instagram @philpallen and youtube.com/philpallen. I still publish once or twice weekly, new topics, new ideas, things that we tackle, so I'm still going to be showing up on those platforms. Stay subscribed to us because we're coming back in September. We're coming back better fiercer.

Lauren

I don't really have a word to add to that, better and fiercer.

Phil

Can you tell that we’re tired, better and fiercer. Listener, thank you for sticking with us. As always, we cannot wait to be back with you this fall. As always now and forever. We appreciate you hanging out with us on Brand Therapy . You’re the best.

Lauren

Talk soon.

Phil

Talk soon.
